Hewbie ("we", "us") provides business software for UK sole traders and small businesses. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact us at info@hewbie.com.
2. Data we collect
- Details you give us on our Register and Contact forms: name, business name, email, phone and your answers.
- Account details for people we set up with a login: name, email and role.
- Business data you store in the software, such as customers, jobs and invoices.
- Technical data such as browser type and pages visited, where you allow it.
3. How we use it
- To reply to enquiries and set up your account (contract / steps before a contract).
- To provide, secure and support the software (contract and legitimate interests).
- To send information you asked for (consent — you can withdraw at any time).
- To meet legal and tax obligations (legal obligation).
4. Your business data
For data you store about your own customers in Hewbie, you are the data controller and we act as your data processor. Each business's data is kept separate and only accessible to that business's users.
5. Sharing
We never sell your data. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run the service, such as hosting, database and email delivery providers, under contracts that protect your data. Some providers may process data outside the UK with appropriate safeguards in place.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 2 years, and account data for as long as your account is active plus any period required by law.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, and object to processing. Email info@hewbie.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
